Meri Amber is a nutball musician human from Sydney. She writes songs that fall into story-telling, comedy, social commentary and filk. She has songs inspired by everything from Doctor Who, ninjas and zombies, to cats, food and robots taking over the world! She also has a most exquisite novelty hat collection.
A Meri Amber performance is a quirky affair, her performances have included singing songs alongside a yeti, prawn man and mafia men puppets. She’s stood under stage lights performing at Supanova, Oz Comic-Con, AMC Expo and Armageddon, as well as supporting The Doubleclicks, Kirby Krackle and doing pre-show foyer entertainment for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, Pink, Lady Gaga, Russell Brand and the Flight Of The Conchords. She’s also partook in sold out shows at the Qantas Credit Union Arena, Oxford Art Factory and Hills Centre.
Her song ‘Share My Time’ held the number one spot on Triple J Unearthed for two weeks, she took home the People’s Choice Award at the Australian Independent Music Awards and won the demo category of the national FOOM song writing competition.
